Step 2: You should Backup all apps on your device, unrooted users can follow this method procedure to backup apps. If you have already rooted your device then use Titanium to Backup and restore apps and cache data.

Step 5: You should disable security apps and programs like Antivirus and Firewall on your Android device as they may interrupt the procedure.
How to install Custom Recovery on the Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo (GT-S5310)
Step 1 – Extract the Odin_v3.07.zip file you downloaded above to a folder on your desktop.
Step 2 – From the extracted folder, double-click on Odin3 v3.07.exe to run the tool.
Step 3 – Put your device into Download mode. To do this, power down your device and press and hold the Volume Down + Home + Power buttons until you enter Download mode.
Step 4 – Click on PDA button, locate CWM-recovery-s5310-ODIN.tar.md5 you downloaded above and click on OK to load it on Odin. The ID: COM field on Odin should now light up yellow to signify that your device is connected and recognized properly. If not, reinstall Samsung Kies and try again.
Step 5 – Make sure that the Re-Partition and Flash Lock are unchecked, this is important as you might brick your device if these options are ticked
Step 6 – Click on Start
Step 7 – Once done, reboot your device
Now you have installed custom recovery on your device.
How to root Samsung Galaxy Pocket Neo (GT-S5310)
Step 1 – Download Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip.
Step 2 – Connect your device to your PC and copy Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip to your device’s SD card.
Step 3 – Boot your device to recovery mode. For this, with the device powered off, press and hold the Volume Up + Home + Power buttons until your device boots into recovery.
Step 4 – Use the Volume Up and Down buttons to highlight ‘Install zip from sdcard‘and then use the home button to select the option.
Step 5 – Navigate to the location of Root_Superuser_3.1.3_Busybox_1.20.2-Update1-signed.zip and flash the zip file.
Step 6 – Once flashed, go to the main menu and select ‘reboot system now ‘it’s all done.
