  1. Downloaded the ROM and follow the prompts for installation, then my phone turned off and I have not been able to turn it back on…. Any suggestions?

    • Have you factory reset your device before installing the custom ROM.

      • I don’t remember doing it… it is possible I may have accidentally skipped step three above. is it too late? did I screw up my phone permanently? I would hate to lose my new toy after just a week. Thanks in advance for any assistance you may provide.

        • Same thing happened to me. Flashed the Omega ROM, installed successfully, powered off, and now will not do crap.

          I have the Sprint S3 SPH-L710.

        • It’s easy to be fixed 🙂
Return to Stock (Offical) firmware. Download it from SamMobile . com

Enter Download Mode :- Make use device turned off,
Hold and press (Volume down + Home + Power)

now, install the offical firmware using ODIN

          Then, Enter Recovery Mode,
          Wipe Cache/Factory reset
          Reboot the device 🙂

  2. For the record, the links that you provided for the OS are links for the International version of the S3 (or at least the torrent was). Almost hit install in my haste to finish this before crawling into bed for the night. And, looking at other forums (as I obviously doubt your knowledge now), it seems this would have hard-bricked my phone and possibly destroyed it. I did a comb of this page to make sure I just hadn’t been over-zealous and didn’t notice the International disclaimer before I decided to tell you off about this. Do better research on your links, dude, srsly. I’m guessing that’s why DMS and Idiot’s phones are not booting. Good job, buddy. Your credibility in the knowledge of Droid expertise is impeccable. Cheers, and don’t quit your day job.
