Micromax launched a siri like voice agent app with its Micromax Superfone A50 Ninja a few months ago. This a budget Android phone that has done pretty well in Indian market. The preloaded desi version of Siri was named as Aisha. Although, we tested and found that there are better apps on Google Play store. But still there were too many customer and they are searching for how to root and install CWM on Micromax Superfone Ninja. We have created a detailed tutorial [credits to Android forums] for you so that you can root your device easily.
Disclaimer: you must aware of the fact that the rooting procedure is quite risky process and you should not do it unknowingly. At least you should have kin knowledge of it. This rooting process is unauthorised process and it will void the warranty of your Micromax A50 Superfone Ninja Phone and you would have no authority to claim for it. You must not blame us or the developer for your damage. May be after installing the root some of your phone’s feature won’t work properly. So, proceed ahead at your own risk.
- You will need a Windows based Computer, data cable and working internet connection.
- It would be better for you if you are willing to keep you all important data safe. For keeping it safe you must take the complete backup of your Micromax device which includes SMS, call logs, contacts, images, audios, videos, Bookmarks, APN (Access Point Names) settings and MMS settings etc. You must not skip this step or you have to lose those data.
- Up to 60% of charged battery is required to complete the process. Less than this will cause power issue during the process.
- You are supposed to disable and uninstall the anti-virus or firewall from your Computer and Micromax device respectively. As these anti-virus or firewall may cause interruption during the process.
- You must follow the path mentioned here to enable the USB Debugging. The path is ‘Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging’. Then, check the USB Debugging.
How to Root Micromax A50 Superfone Ninja:
Step 1. First you need to extract the downloaded package in your computer, and then open the folder. Then, make it sure that you have got files such as ‘original a50 boot.img, boot, mt65x3-usb-vcom-drivers.rar’, MT6573_Android_scatter, SP Flash Tool v2.1134.00, and unlockroot23‘.
Step 2. Now, simply extract the files from compressed package ‘mt65x3-usb-vcom-drivers.rar’, after extracting it open the folder where extracted folder is located, and then open Install Driver.exe, this will install the drivers on your Computer, which are required for flashing procedure. If you’re running a 64-bit Operating System in your Computer, then you need to open installdrv64.exe.
Step 3. After installing the drivers properly, you need to extract the package ‘SP Flash Tool v2.1134.00.rar’ in a folder in your computer, and then extract the same. You will need this software to flash the rooting file.
Step 4. After that, in the same folder, you must open and install ‘unlockroot23.exe’ in your Computer.
Step 5. Now, turn it to flash the rooting package on your Micromax device. Simply, open the ‘Flash_tool.exe’ which will get after extracting package in 4th Step.
Step 6. After Flashing tool opens, navigate to Select File > Open Scatter-loading files and then browse and select MT6573_Android_scatter.txt which is located in path A50 Ninja\romdump. Uncheck everything on the interface.
Step 7. After loading the .txt file in Step 7, you may get a popup message stating error message, related to bootloader files and failure etc.
Step 8. Then, Simply click on the option BOOTIMG, then browse and select boot.img which is located in extracted Directory of a50_ROOT (Step 1 & 2).
Step 9. Now, without turning on your phone, simply remove the battery from your phone, and then insert it back. Please do not turn on the phone, and then connect it to your Computer with the USB Cable.

Step 10. Windows will start finding and installing the drivers for your device, after installation of drivers simply disconnect your device from computer. Once again remove the battery and then re-insert again, please do not turn on your device.
Step 11. Now, On the Flashing Tool interface in your Computer, simply click ‘Download’ Button, and then within 15 seconds connect your phone again to Computer. You should see a Yellow progress bar in the Computer, which should reach 100% and then a pop up window would appear, which should display ‘BOOTIMG downloaded.
Step 12. Process of Step 13 has flashed the boot.img to your phone. Now you must disconnect your Micromax A50, disconnect and then re-insert it, then simply switch on the phone and let boot properly.
Step 13. Now, this is turn to Final Rooting process of your device. Firstly Navigate to settings>Applications>Check the option unknown sources. Then navigate to settings>Applications>Development>Check USB Debugging.
Step 14. Now, Install ADB Drivers without turning off phone. ADB would probably failed to find drivers for A50. Navigate to the Device manager>Right Click Micromax A50>Update Drivers>Browse my Computer for Drivers>Click on the option. Let me pick from a list of drivers> On the popup click Google Inc.>ADB Interface>Next> Click Yes which will start installing the drivers.
Step 15. Now open ‘Unlock Tool’, which you’ve installed in Step 6:
Step 16. The Unlock Tool will start rooting your device, after finishing it will remind you reboot your phone. So, simply turn off your device and then turn it back. Now after rebooting, which can take some minutes to boot for first time, after phone gets turned on find the ‘Superuser’ application in your phone. This will indicate that you’ve successfully rooted your device.
