Galaxy Note is one of the best selling devices of Samsung Smartphone range. This Android based phone has already shipped more than 5million sets all over the world. jBroICS a XDA developer forum member has launched a new Android IceCream Sandwich 4.0.4 AOSP based ROM for Galaxy Note. This works only on universal Galaxy Note N7000 model. This ROM is biased on Imilka 4.0.4 base AOSP. Developer has done few tweaks to enhance the UI and include Bravia Engine Mod, Beats Audio.
Pre-Requisite to install ICS 4.0.4 ROM on Galaxy Note:
- You need a Rooted Galaxy Note. A PC, data cable and working internet connection. Beside this please make sure that Galaxy Note has ICS firmware and ClockWorkMod recovery installed. If you have Gingerbread on Note then flash it with ICS chainfire firmware.
- Backup all essential data from your Galaxy Note. Backup contacts, email, data, videos, audiois, pics. Also create a recovery image of your current ROM using ClockWorkMod recovery.
- Charge your phone to atleast 80% to make sure you do not face any power issue between the process.
- Enable USB debugging. Go to settings >> Applications >> development >> USB debugging and check the option.

How to install jBroICS Android ICS 4.0.4 ROM on Galaxy Note:
Step 1: Make sure you have ICS firmware. If you are still running on Gingerbread, flash the i9220LP1 ICS firmware using ODIN. You can find the download above in pre-requisite section.
Step 2: connect you phone to PC and copy the downloaded ICS 4.0.4 ROM file to root of your SD card.
Step 3: Switch off Galaxy Note and boot into ClockWorkMod recovery by pressing volume up and power button simultaneously.
Step 4: Select Wipe/factory reset from the ClockWorkMod menu using volume button to highlight and power button to choose the option. On the next screen select “ yes” to confirm and do a wipe cache too.
Step 5: Now, select “install zip from SD card” in the next menu select “choose zip from SD card”. Select the ROM file we have transferred to sd card in step 2 and confirm to install.
Step 6: The ROM will install using CWM, once complete select “+++Go Back+++” and choose “Reboot the System” option.
Step 7: System will reboot and it will take some time. You will be welcomed with a Boot screen and new ICS 4.0.4 UI.
