Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini can now be updated with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean I8190DXALL3 Firmware. The update has started rolling out in Indonesia since the last couple of days. If you want to apply this update onto your device then this guide will help you to apply this update onto your device. This update brings performance and stability improvements, and also the ability to expand and collapse the notifications with a one-finger swipe.

Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini - How to Update Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini with Android 4.1.2 I8190DXALL3 Firmware Using Odin

Warning: Neither we nor the developer will hold any responsibility if you damage or brick your phone in the process of following this article. Therefore, please proceed at your own risk.

Pre-Requisites:

Step 1: This article is only meant for the users who own Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini.

Step 2: Ensure that there is at least 70% charge with your device, so that there will be no Power interruption during the process.

Step 3: You need to backup all essential data’s on your phone, to assure that there will be no data loss during the process.

Step 4: Disable all Security programs like Firewall and Antivirus from your computer and uninstall the same from your phone, as these security programs generally tend to interrupt the process.

Step 5: Enable USB Debugging in your Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini from the path “Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging”. The option of USB Debugging should be ticked.

Download Odin and DXALL3 Firmware from here to your computer, Install Odin onto your windows PC and extract the DXALL3 Firmware into a folder onto your desktop.

Steps to Update Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini with Android 4.1.2 I8190 DXALL3 Firmware Using Odin:

Step 1: Open Odin and reboot your phone so as to enter it in Download Mode. To do so, when your phone is OFF, press and hold the Volume Down + + Home + Power buttons together until the screen turns ON and shows a Warning screen. Then press Volume Up to enter download mode.

Step 2: Now, connect your phone to the PC via original USB cable i.e. the cable that came with it.

Step 3: On successful connection of your phone into PC the ID: COM section in Odin will turn Yellow. It means all the drivers for your phone have been installed onto your PC.

Step 4: Now, click “PDA” button in Odin and then choose the tar file from your computer which you’ve got after extracting the downloaded firmware package.

Step 5: Do not make any other changes in Odin. Only ensure that the Re-Partition check box is not selected.

Step 7: Now, click on “Start” button from Odin to begin the installation process.

Step 8: The installation process will take around 4-5 minutes for successful completion.

Step 9: As soon as the installation process has completed your phone will reboot automatically.
