Carbon App is a new app from the developer who developed the revolutionary app ClockworkMod Recovery and ROM Manager Apps, he is none other than Koushik Dutta. This app is a new backup solution that not only syncs apps between devices but backups the data as well. The app uses Android’s built-in backup feature and has several syncing options, but presently it uses Google Drive for Cloud syncing. Looking to the positive side is you can backup apps and app data from one device and restore it on the same or any other device you want. But, the app is presently released in beta form so some features would not be available. From the phones you want to backup your data’s, open same Google account on both, it will connect to your Google Drive account and other phones linked to the same account. Then select a specific or multiple apps and restore them from one device to another over an internet connection like: Wi-Fi/3G.

The app needs root access (Superuser) in the beta form that will work only for a week according to Koushik, but the full version will work on non-rooted devices also. The apps will allow you to backup the apps on your phone to your SD Card, Dropbox or Google Drive.
