- It is really necessary for you to take the backup of all your important data and apps such as SMS, contacts, call logs, images, audios, videos, Bookmarks, APN (Access Point Names) settings and MMS settings etc. You must also include some other files for backup.
- Your Galaxy S Plus device must have battery life of around 60%. Your Galaxy S Plus may get turn off during the process due to power issue if you won’t charge.
- Ensure that Anti-virus or firewall is disabled on your Computer and Galaxy S devices respectively. As this may cause interruption during the updating process.
- Also, ensure that you have checked USB Debugging option by navigating into the path ‘Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging’.
Steps to Root your Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9001:
Step 1. Here is the download link for rooting package. Then, connect your Galaxy S to the Computer via USB data cable to transfer the downloaded zip file to the root of the SD card.
Step 2. Then, turn off your device to boot into Recovery mode by holding and pressing Volume Down + OK button together and along with them press Power button till you reach the recovery mode on your Galaxy S.
Step 3. Once you have reached to recovery mode successfully. You need to wipe all your cache data from the phone. For this you need to select ‘Wipe data/factory reset’ and again select ‘Wipe Cache partition’.
Step 4. In the recovery mode, you need to choose ‘install zip from SD card’ and once again select ‘choose zip from sdcard’. Now, browse into the SD card to select the downloaded zip file and flash the root package on your Galaxy S device.
Step 5. This process will take around 9-10 minutes to complete. Then, select ‘+++Go Back+++’ option to return to main menu screen and then select the ‘reboot system now’ option to restart your Galaxy S Plus.
Steps to Unroot your Samsung Galaxy S Plus i9001:
