T-Mobile launched HTC Amaze 4G in 2011 but the hardware is still fresh and capable enough to run the latest Jelly Bean OS. But yet no Jelly Bean firmware or custom ROM has been announced. To get ready to Install the custom Jelly Bean releasing anytime next month you will need to root your device. We are providing a detailed tutorial that will guide you to Root HTC Amaze 4G and install Custom Recovery. For guys, who are waiting for Official Jelly Bean update- it will take months. There is a CyanogenMod 10 Custom ROM build that is not fully functional yet but as soon a full release is a available we will post about it.
- Create the backup of your complete HTC Amaze 4G. Here we have list of some files and data which may be important for you and you may like to create the of – SMS, call logs, contacts, images, audios, videos, Bookmarks, APN (Access Point Names) settings and MMS settings etc.
- Try to charge your battery percentage to 60% or more because less than this may not surve your purpose and you may have to face serious power issue.
- You may also like to disable and uninstall the anti-virus or firmware from your Computer and HTC device to avoid interruption during the process.
- Make sure that you have enabled the USB Debugging option on your phone. For enabling, you have to follow the path – Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > USB Debugging.
How to Root HTC Amaze 4G:
Step 1. Before you begin the actual rooting process, you need to install the HTC drivers on your Computer so that it can detect your device. So, double click the HTC Driver 3.0.3.007.exe file to run it. Follow all the instructions carefully and finish the installation.
Step 2. Now from here, the real root begins for which you need to extract the downloaded root package on your Computer.
Step 3. Then, connect your HTC with your Computer via USB data cable. From the extracted file, get into the Zerg rush root folder and double-click the ZergRushTempRoot.bat file to start the rooting process.
Step 4. Once the rooting is completed, disconnect your HTC phone.
