How to Install Android 4.1 Jelly bean apps on any device using Custom recovery

Android 4.1 Jelly bean has created buzz everywhere with its buter smooth user interface and new apps that are competing with iOS 6. Users were too much attracted to Jelly Bean features like Offline Voice recognizing, enhanced maps, Google vide editor etc. If you are running ICS or Android 4.0 ICS based custom ROM then you can install latest Jelly Bean apps on your phone or tablet. You just needed a rooted device with custom recovery [CWM, TWRP etc] installed and then you can just flash the latest Google apps package.

Pre-requisite:

1. You must have Android ICS or ICS based custom ROM on your device. It means that most of the latest phones and tablets can get the Jelly Bean apps.

2. Phone or Tablet must be rooted and custom recovery installed.

3. Backup all essential data and apps data. Make sure you keep a backup of all critical data on a separate storage place.

4. Enable USB debugging on your device. Go to settings>>developers option and enable the USB debug options.

How to Install Jelly Bean app package on your Android device:

Step 1: Download the zip file and Copy to the root of Device’s SD card storage. For this you can connect the device as USB storage and copy paste the file.

Step 2: Switch of the Device and restart into Custom recovery mode [ CWM or TWRP mode]. If you do not know how to boot your device into recovery then check this article.

Step 3: Now, select “install zip from SD card” and then “choose zip from SD card”. Select the zip file you have transferred to phone’s storage.

Step 4: It will take few minutes to install. Once done, select “Go Back” and then “Reboot system now”.
