Thank you for giving us this procedure. I tried it up to the point of being able to start up CWM on my i747. But I wanted to make a backup of my AT&T stock ROM before rooting it (so I can unroot it later, if necessary). However, when I tried to perform a backup in CWM it complains “Can’t mount backup path”. This is despite the fact that my external SD 32-GB card is formatted (I tried both CWM’w own formatter as well as ICS’s) and is writable (I am able to copy my MP3 files there). Is there anything I could be doing wrong?

  2. No one wont help me!! When its time to select the zip file in recovery mode, it said verification failed aborted… I NEED HELP PLEASE!!!!!! i did everything down to a tea. what is the problem..
