  1. Pieter Breedijk says:

I accidentially deleted the Kies (Not Kies Air) program from my Galay tab 2 5110, how can I et that back.
Tried “How to Root Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5113/ 5100/ 5110” but every time I boot my Tabled in Odin and plug the USB in, my XP starts searching for a driver, however Odin was already running on XP and did not see the tablet.

  2. Rebooting into Clockwork seems impossible. No matter what I do it keeps rebooting back into the Default recovery. Could it be the newest OTA update preventing the installation of Clockwork? When I’m in Download mode it tells me how many custom images (custom something anyway) are on it, or have been attempted, not sure. I’m not stupid I’ve rooted everything else in my possession with zero issue.

  3. @ Steve, same problem here! I ordered one of these for me and one for a co-worker. His rooted fine, mine goes through everything successfully but only opens the android recovery, not CWM.. I am about to pull my hair out.. I’ve never had any problems like this before… I’ve even reset everything back to defaults with no avail.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!

    • Hi Cliff,

Can you tell me the firmware your are running. You will need to go to settings>>About>>software version like Android 4.0.4 IceCream sandwich XXLPG.

      • I am having the exact same issue. I am running:
        Android Version 4.0.4
        se.infra@SEP-85 #1
SMP PREEMPT Thu Aug 23 23:44:31 KST 2012

        Build Number:

  4. I just figured out the problem. To be able to boot in ClockWorkMood Recovery you need to make sure you ************* UNCHECK “Auto Reboot” when running the Obin3 v 1.85″. After you get the green “PASS” box,
    – Disconnect your tab from your computer
-You need to manually power down your tablet
    – Then push the power button along with the Volume Down button. You will then be on the CWM recovery screen and WALA…. you’ve root your tab!!! It took me at least a couple of hours to figure this out. I hope it works for you!!! Feel free to reply if you have any problems and I’ll try to help.

    • Thank you Daniela!
Aftter many attempts to install CWM with odin, I have followed your suggestion unckeching the auto reboot option, then I had my tablet bricked: it just showed “Samsung Galaxy Tab 2” and was not able to enter in any recovery mode.
Then I have reset to download mode and followed the old procedure (with auto reboot check) and it has automatically entered in CWM!

So, I don’t think I have followed *exactly* your suggestion, but in some way, it eventually worked also for me!

      Thank you,

  5. Everything works, still no root. Why won’t it stick? Followed directions to a tee. Please help

  6. when I installing I get error
    E:signature verification failed

  7. i also followed the directions on point and recieved only a non-rooted device.

  8. I have a galaxy tab 2 10.1 but the model number says sgh-1497. Will this method Work?

  9. I accidently entered a password which I now need to enter my GT 5110 tablet. How do I disable this feature,
    Cheers, John Graham,Omata,New Zealand
